Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has grabbed everyone’s attention in IPL 2022 with his stellar performances for the Lucknow Super Giants. LSG drafted him into their squad when he was an uncapped player. Bishnoi received a contract worth INR 4 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
Many fans were surprised to see Lucknow opting for Bishnoi’s services when players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel were available. However, the former India U-19 star has proven why he deserved to be in that list with his impressive performances in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Speaking of his performance in the match against the Delhi Capitals which is currently underway, Bishnoi bowled four overs, where he conceded 22 runs at an economy rate of 5.5 runs per over. Most importantly, he picked up two wickets for the Super Giants. He dismissed the dangerous Rovman Powell and the returning David Warner to give LSG the upper hand.
Krishnappa Gowtham, who made his debut for the Lucknow Super Giants tonight, enjoyed bowling in tandem with Bishnoi. Gowtham returned with figures of 1/23 in four overs. The off-spin bowler also bowled a maiden for the Lucknow Super Giants.
In a chat with the host broadcaster after the match, Krishnappa Gowtham said:
“Feels good to be playing after a long time. Feels good to bowl in partnership with Ravi Bishnoi. It is about mixing your pace. You can’t bowl at one pace on this wicket. We communicated between us, some are holding up and some are going through.”
