While Sachin Tendulkar’s 175 could not help India defeat Australia, Herschelle Gibbs’ knock of 175 runs had powered South Africa to the highest run chase in ODI cricket history. The number three batsman smacked 175 runs off 111 runs to help South Africa chase a mammoth target of 435 runs.

Another entry from the 2016 ODI series between Australia and South Africa, features Quinton de Kock’s masterclass from the first one-dayer. The left-handed batsman aggregated 178 runs in just 113 deliveries, smashing 16 fours and 11 sixes to guide the Proteas to a 6-wicket win in Centurion.

6.Jason Roy – 180

English opener Jason Roy made a name for himself with his aggressive batting approach. The right-handed batsman starred for England in their 2019 World Cup win. During the first ODI of a series against Australia in 2018, Roy hit 180 runs from 151 balls to ensure that England chase down the score of 305 runs in the 49th over.

Martin Guptill is the only player in ICC World Cup history to hit a double hundred during a knockout game. In 2017, Guptill played another big inning for New Zealand, scoring an unbeaten 180*(138) to help the home team defeat South Africa in Hamilton.
