6.Never tell your nickname to Sehwag
Sledging is common when India and Australia collide on the field. In the 2004 series between India and Australia, Michael Clarke tried to sledge Sachin Tendulkar. Sehwag went to him and asked his nickname before brutally trolling him.
“Your teammates call you Pup, right?”, Sehwag asked to which Clarke replied, “Ya mate”. Sehwag commented, “Which breed?”
5.After losing his wicket for 195
In a Test match against Australia in 2003, Virender Sehwag attempted to reach his double hundred with a six. Unfortunately, he could not clear the boundary and lost his wicket for Sehwag.
Rahul Dravid told him: You were just five singles away from a double century, you could have made it. Sehwag replied: I just missed the six by just three yards.
4.After the Indian selectors dropped him
Virender Sehwag’s biggest positive was that the Delhite always backed himself to perform well. However, a string of poor performances led to his exit from the Indian cricket team. Still, he backed himself.
An interviewer said to him: ‘You may never play for India again’ Sehwag stayed positive and replied: ‘Well, whose loss is that?’
