Arjun Tendulkar, son of former Indian cricket team captain Sachin Tendulkar, has grabbed the headlines after his name was present in the IPL 2022 Auction’s shortlisted players. Arjun is a left-arm fast bowler who earned his maiden IPL contract last year from the Mumbai Indians team.

However, the Mumbai Indians team did not retain him for the IPL 2022 season. Last year, Tendulkar was benched by the Mumbai Indians the entire season. During the second phase of the competition, Arjun suffered an injury that ruled him out of the competition. Simarjeet Singh from Gujarat replaced Arjun in the Mumbai Indians. However, like Arjun, Singh neither got a game nor was retained for the 2022 season.

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place on February 12 and 13. Ahead of the auction, the Indian Premier League organizers shared the sheet of 590 players who will be a part of the event. Most of the big names are in the auction this time.

Many uncapped players are also in the list. One of them is Arjun Tendulkar, who has a base price of INR 20 lakh. Here’s what Arjun had to say during the IPL 2021 season last year about himself joining Mumbai Indians:

“I write all my positives in this book. If I have had a very good session or or I have performed well in a match, I write what was my mental frame of mind and what good things I did.”
