Mustafizur Rahman made his debut for the Delhi Capitals earlier tonight against the Gujarat Titans. The left-arm pacer from Bangladesh bowled a dream spell of 3/23. He opened the bowling for Delhi Capitals and dismissed Matthew Wade on the third ball of the match.

Then, Rahman bowled an impressive final over, where he picked up the wickets of Abhinav Manohar and Rahul Tewatia, who destroyed the Lucknow Super Giants bowling attack a few days ago. He gave only four runs bowling against Rashid Khan and David Millers, who are reckoned by many as some of the most dangerous finishers in T20 cricket right now.

Among all the Delhi Capitals bowlers, Rahman picked up the highest number of wickets against the Gujarat Titans. It will be interesting to see what team combination the Delhi Capitals use when pace bowler Anrich Nortje is available to play.

Shubman Gill dominated the DC bowlers in the first innings as he scored 84 runs for the Gujarat Titans. Here’s what he said in an interview with host broadcaster after the GT innings:

“Yes, it felt good. I think I left a bit of runs for myself and the team, but pretty satisfied in the end. I didn’t realise that I didn’t play a lot of dot balls. But my main focus to play less dot balls, especially since we lost a couple of wickets early. The wicket was pretty good. It was holding up a bit early.”
