The 2022 edition of the Pakistan Super League is currently underway in Karachi. Tonight there is a battle between the Lahore Qalandars and Babar Azam’s Karachi Kings. Both teams lost their respective opening matches of PSL 2022 to the defending champions Multan Sultans. Tonight fans witnessed the battle between Babar Azam and Rashid Khan in PSL 2022.
Many fans would remember that these two big names crossed paths during the 2021 edition of the ICC T20 World Cup last year in the UAE, where Rashid Khan bamboozled Babar Azam. The same thing happened in Karachi during the PSL 2022 match as Babar was clean bowled by Khan.
The video of that dismissal has gone viral on the internet. Speaking of the match between the Lahore Qalandars and the Karachi Kings first, the Qalandars skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to bowl first. An excellent 39-ball 60 from opener Sharjeel Khan helped the Kings post 170/7 on the board.
Captain Babar Azam opened the innings with Sharjeel and added 84 runs for the first wicket. Sharjeel lost his wicket, but Babar held one end. He was on 41 off 32 deliveries and looking to switch gears when Rashid Khan picked up his wicket in the 15th over of the innings.
