TM Dilshan has announced his arrival in the Road Safety World Series 2022 with a magnificent century in the third match of the competition. Opening the batting for Sri Lanka Legends in their first match of the season against Australia Legends, Dilshan went berserk and smashed 107 runs off just 56 balls.

The Road Safety World Series 2022 began on Saturday evening with a match between India Legends and South Africa Legends. Sachin Tendulkar’s India Legends team won the match by 61 runs. In the second match which happened earlier today, last season’s semifinalists West Indies Legends recorded an easy win over the Bangladesh Legends.

Sri Lanka Legends are battling Australia Legends in the third match of the tournament. Last year, Sri Lanka Legends made it to the final of the competition. Meanwhile, Australia Legends lost their first match against Sri Lanka Legends. They returned home and did not come back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Australia Legends have made their return in the Road Safety World Series this year. Some big names like Brett Lee and Shane Watson are a part of the squad. However, the Aussies did not have a great outing against the Sri Lanka Legends as far as the bowling department is concerned.

Sri Lanka Legends won the toss and opted to bat first. D Munaweera opened the innings with TM Dilshan. The two Sri Lankan openers stitched up an incredible partnership of 208 runs for the first wicket. Eventually, Brett Lee broke the partnership by rattling the stumps of the centurion. Munaweera remained not out on 95 runs off 63 balls.
