2.Javagal Srinath lets Anil Kumble take ten wickets in an innings
We discussed earlier that Anil Kumble and Jim Laker are the two bowlers who have achieved the feat of taking all wickets in a Test inning. During the match against Pakistan, Javagal Srinath had an opportunity to bowl Pakistan out. Since Kumble had taken the first nine wickets, Srinath did not try to scalp a wicket as he bowled all deliveries outside the off-stump. Ultimately, the leg-spinner scalped the last wicket. Another great example of the most selfless acts in cricket.
1.Gautam Gambhir gives his Man of the Match award to Virat Kohli
Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli have had a bitter-sweet relation. They had an ugly fight in the IPL, but being a senior, Gambhir had given away his Man of the Match award to Kohli when the youngster scored his maiden ODI ton against Sri Lanka. Without the right-handed batsman’s support, Gambhir could not have helped India win the match by chasing the target of 315 runs.
