IPL is perhaps the most significant cricket tournament in the world right now. This tournament is the only one on the planet, where the Indian players combine forces with the foreign stars and play in the same team. BCCI has given some relaxations to its strict policies now. Still, the active Indian cricket stars do not have the permission to play in foreign leagues, which makes IPL a distinct tourney.

This year, the IPL may happen outside India as the latest reports have suggested that UAE, Sri Lanka and New Zealand have approached the BCCI to host IPL 2020. The Coronavirus pandemic has ruined the dreams of many cricketers, who were going to play their first IPL season. Players like Pat Cummins would also be disappointed because they were set to receive massive paychecks for playing in the competition.

However, there are also a few veterans who once featured in this competition, but very few fans remember that.

Regarded as one of the worst investments done by Chennai Super Kings in IPL history, Andrew Flintoff played just one season in his IPL career. He became a part of CSK in 2009. Since the tourney was in South Africa, the Englishman was backed to emerge as a match-winner for Chennai. Unfortunately, he could not live up to the hype as Flintoff could score only 62 runs and take 2 wickets in the entire season.

6.Tim Paine
