Another legendary partnership to be a part of this list is from the 1983 World Cup match between India and Zimbabwe. Kapil Dev played his best ODI knock to protect India from losing. Syed Kirmani batted patiently and scored 24 runs from 56 balls as India won the game by 34 runs later.

It is rare to see a 10th wicket partnership even adding 30-40 runs to the team’s total, but the duo of Harbhajan Singh and Balaji had ruled the English bowling attack at The Oval in 2004. Singh scored 41 runs at number 10 while Balaji added 18 runs. The two tail-enders took the team’s total from 173 to 237. However, India lost that game by 70 runs.
