4. Kamran Khan

Just as Saurav Ganguly was running away with the match with some of his blistering heroics from Rajasthan Royals, it was Kamran Khan who put a brake to the innings with some exotic stuff up his sleeves. With an unorthodox bowling action, Khan was also deemed as the “Tornado” by legendary spinner, Shane Warne.

Despite only able to notch up 6 scalps, his consistent reverse-swing at a brute pace of 140 kays made it extremely difficult for the batsmen to free their arms.

Haplessly, his bowling action that slung itself into the limelight was also the reason for his downfall as it was not approved by ICC.

3. Swapnil Asnodkar

Despite still being a consistent name in domestic cricket, Swapnil Asnodkar failed to rise to his billing under challenging circumstances. Firing a meaty 311 from 9 matches in 2008 that helped Rajasthan travel a considerable distance in their pursuit of glory, Asnodkar’s future dived into oblivion.

He was touted as one of the most shining prospects of Indian alongside Shadab Jakati, his Ranji teammate who too vanished into thin air after a couple of successful seasons.
