Despite being on the radar of India’s finest in the making, he got enmeshed in severe controversy after he was alleged of beating his mother-in-law. Despite notching up 17 scalps in his inaugural season with Kings XI Punjab, his following days were simply a ghostly shadow of his erstwhile scintillating self.

He also went to play two ODI’s for India but the hammering handed over to him made him call it a day in international cricket. Despite being spotted in IPL even in 2017 for Gujrat Lions, he was a mere spectre along the sidelines.

Bhatia had a phenomenal start to IPL as his initial seasons with Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knightriders helped him to establish himself as one of the best medium-pacers in the fray who can also bat a considerable amount. Unfortunately, after he parted ways with KKR, his numbers witnessed a vertiginous dip that took him off his perch and it was not long before he faded into oblivion.

He managed to register 45 wickets from 60 matches which featured a career-best of 4 for 15. His first-class records are also impressive as Bhatia has hammered 3828 runs from 68 matches while picking up 76 wickets.
